My name is Beth, I'm 43 and I live in Berkeley, CA, a fine place for a whole food foodie. This blog is an attempt to record my ongoing endeavor to become as healthy as possible in spite of chronic illness. I hope to reach out to others like myself and to help people who are trying to maintain a healthy diet in spite of all the obstacles. My focus is on Low Carb, but I'm also a lacto-ovo vegetarian, am in the process of going gluten free and I believe that whole foods may save the world. In addition to recipes, I will be including tips about how to make preparing meals from scratch easier because, really, life is hard enough as it is.
